Bombed the Simulations- FARE

Has anyone passed any of the exams even though they did not complete either of the simulations? I ran out of time while taking FARE, so I quickly wrote the communications and did the research element for each simulation. On the first simulation, I correctly completed one tab, incorrectly completed a second, and ignored the rest (besides the communication tab and the research tab). On the second simulation, I left all of the tabs except for one- which I did incorrectly- completely blank (besides the communication tab and the research tab).

I don’t expect to get my score back until at least mid-September, and I can’t decide whether to figure that I failed and restart studying for FARE on Sept.1, or to hang on to a sliver of hope that I passed and not study again until I get my score back.

I was in the same boat as you when I wrote. I spent way too much time over analyzing the MC questions and by the time I got to the Sims I was under tight time constraints. It did not help that the Sims I had were totally ridiculous either. But I would say that I only completed 30% of the entire simulations. I think I may have even left a communication blank…or just answered it really half ass. Anyways yes there is definitely a chance that you can pass. I mean I did but just barely. How did you feel about the MC questions?

    FAR (75)
    AUD (76)
    BEC (75)
    REG (72), (80)

Thanks for the hope!! I felt pretty good about the first set. The second set was definitely more difficult, and I think I guess on a lot of them. By the time I attempted the third set, I was hungry and my brain was fried, so I'm not even sure if they were difficult or not.

I read a few older posts, and it seems like I at least have a little bit of a shot. I sure hope I passed, because I am ready to start my final “summer” vacation before the real world begins!

I took FAR today and felt horrible about the simulations….I thought the multiple choice were easy though. I left the research empty because I ran out of time….i know i lost a lot of points in simulations..

vukz – you only answered 30% of the simulations and ended up with a 75???????????????? So you left 70% completely OPEN??? You are really giving me hope…I need to stop thinking about it because I won't know for another month =(

I agree! I felt really confident with the multiple choice, almost easy! and the SIMS were so freaking hard! I left multiple tabs empty, or even made up numbers! I did make sure to fill out the memos, which I can only imagine sucked too because they were on pensions and foreign currency.. areas of course i was a little weak in. OVerall I BOMBED the sims, and found out today I passed FAR with an 82, so i'm soo happpy :):)

I did so horrible on my sims…by the time I got to them I had already convinced myself that I had pretty much failed the exam. I can't disclose what they asked on my sim, but basically 1 tab they asked me for something and at the time I confused it with something else and so I must have just done it completely bassackwards!

As long as you do well on the MC you can pass no matter how bad you did on the sims.

    AUD - 81, BEC - 74, 80, FAR - 82, REG - 81
    Done!
