CA CPA Renewal Candidates – Board Approved 2 Hr Regulatory Review Course

    Hi All,

    I was originally licensed back in 2012 in AZ and got a reciprocity license in CA when I moved here in 2014. My license is up for renewal at the end of this month and while I completed my 2nd renewal of my AZ license, this is my first CA renewal.

    My question is this — there appears to be a fairly new requirement around needing two take a 2 hour “board approved” regulatory review course every 6 years but it doesn’t say whether or not it’s required for the first renewal or if I can wait until 6 years from now.

    Has anyone run into this? Thanks!

    EDIT: It’s at the top of my renewal form. 10/31/2021. I have never facepalmed so hard in my life. Good lord. Sorry for the useless post.
