Have been studying like crazy, but AUD exam seems like the only exam that i cannot pass. I am supposed to retake AUD for the 4th time on 07/11/2014. I am so nervous about this. Should i reschedule it to 20th or just take it? Any tips for the final wrap up for me? HELPS needed!

My opinion? Just take it. How much is a week really going to help you? I really liked NINJA audio for AUD, maybe get it and listen to it whenever you have a spare moment over the next week? Jeff's dumb/goofy (sorry, but that's why I remembered them) little bits/jokes and mnemonics were a godsend for AUD!

Also, MCQ MCQ MCQ and most importantly: RTMFQ!!

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14

Well, it's obviously “safer” to postpone it. The $35 rescheduling fee is paltry compared to the ~$200 cost of retaking it, not to mention the cost in time of having to restudy if you need to retake it another testing window. That said, this of course can't be an excuse to postpone it indefinitely.

I took FAR on July 1st, and I honestly think that if I had given myself one more week to study for it––assuming I didn't increase my procrastination in response––I would have done far, FAR better and had a much better chance of passing. As it stands, there's a good chance I failed it, which will be a costly mistake.

Ultimately, it's your choice, and your time and money. No one else can evaluate whether or not you'll be prepared for it by the 11th.

    AUD: 88
    BEC: 79
    REG: 81
    FAR: 72 » 74 » 88

Make sure you read the questions carefully and don't rush. Read the hook a second time to be sure you know what they are asking. Here are words to watch out for that can change the whole meaning: not, always, never, except, audit vs. review vs. comp, issuer vs. nonissuer, year 1 vs. year 2, etc.

And go over basic journal entries so that if you are tasked with something like adjusting journal entries in a sim, you are ready. Think of what an auditor might look for, like overstated sales, and think about how that might affect other accounts. Also review ratios. Those can be used to analyze under/overstated accounts.

Honestly you'd be facing seven more excruciating days of self doubt and anxiety-may even be counter productive.

I forgot to answer that part of the question. You still have a whole week to study. That's a lot of time. Tell yourself you can do it, put the time in, and then go crush that thing.

I say just take it…unless you have a significant hole in a major topic area that you feel you can shore up in a week or two. I haven't taken AUD yet but it seems like you just have a bit of trouble with the material in general. Don't let that scare you. These exams are designed to flush out your weaknesses across the entire accounting spectrum. Once out they force you to conquer them under stress and in some cases under the threat of previous exams expiring. The real test begins the minute you send in that first application and doesn't end until you send in your last application. Worst of all the exam will screw with your confidence but you can't let it. You probably know all of the material by now….you just have to go in there and finish this damn thing up! Good luck÷

Tl; dr- Just take it! You got this….

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?
