Is it okay to wear cologne at work (regional CPA firm)? What about a Big 4 interview? If so, what colognes do you recommend?

I wouldn't. You could run into someone with allergies (or doesn't care for that type even). Kind of risky.

When applying cologne in an office setting or before an interview it is important to choose something light and remember this one simple tip.

Spray two pumps into the air, then turn around and walk in the opposite direction.

Going against the grain here, but wear cologne. Like Aldous said, you need 2 sprays max and no more. I believe that showing up smelling nice is better than risking smelling like BO. If the interviewer is highly allergic, they should have specified or made note of it when setting up the appointment. They cannot hold it against you if you did not know, and 2 sprays will not be overbearing.

I don't think anyone notices unless you are wearing way too much. So just don't wear too much. Because that is obnoxious.

Cologne is a nice touch but not necessary, bare minimum you don't want to smell bad. Wear good quality stuff not 5 dollar cologne. I wear acqua dio gio by Armani which runs about $ 100 for 7 ounce bottle. You can get something more affordable though. I've actually received more compliments wearing aeropostale maximum cologne.
