I seem to have this problem for my FAR retake. I got a 66 on my retake. I was comparable on my MCQ and weaker in SIMS. I got the NINJA MCQ and pounded away at those MCQ’s and did the SIMS twice. I just got my NTS for my 3rd retake of FAR and I’m rescheduling for beginning of October. Any advice on how to tackle the SIMS? I know everyone says it’s how well you know the material. Should I do more MCQ’s or should I just focus on SIMS. I do have Gleim and they have good SIMS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    FAR 62, 66, 78
    AUD 66, 55, 74, 72
    BEC 79

Keep working MCQ's and hone in on your weak areas; the simulations are just an extension of MCQ's formatted differently – use the progress reports within the testbank to see where you are weak and target those areas.

Write out lots of journal entries and T accounts as you do the MCQs, even if you know the answer without doing that. Getting in the long-hand practice should help you on sims.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I'm with you, I just received a 71 as I was comparable on the MCQ, and weaker on the sims. In five attempts, this was the first time I was comparable on the MCQs. I added the Ninja MCQs for my attempt coming up in October and will write out every single journal entry in the book. Those sims could be brutal and the worse part is I don't even know what I'm looking at on some of them.
