CPA Bonus

I just accepted the offer from top 10 national firm. The offer includes $2,500 hiring bonus. I have my CPA (waiting to be licensed anytime now) and I was wondering if this was my CPA bonus. I am sure they have CPA bonus for the entry level but I am guessing I do not qualify for this bonus since they are offering me the hiring bonus? Just curious if anyone has started with a national firm (non-Big 4) coming in as experience hire and got CPA bonus on top of their hiring bonus? I would assume that managers and above would not qualify for any CPA bonus since it’s required for them but I thought if I am coming in as a senior and have my CPA already, would I qualify? I sound terribly greedy but I don’t want to pass it up if I do qualify.

I would think you wouldn't get it because you pretty much already have your license before you start. I see a CPA bonus as for someone already working for a company who then goes through the process and gets their license. Not a new hire that is coming in with it pretty much in hand already.

I wouldn't think the sign-on bonus would exclude you from the CPA bonus, I just think the timing of when you'll start your job vs when you'll be licensed might exclude you.

Obviously this is just my thoughts and I can't tell what your firm would actually do.
