Hey. Now that I’m licensed, I’m going to have to start taking CPE and I was wondering, for you non-public accounting folks who have to enroll in their own CPE courses, what have you found to be the best? Is there any particular provider that you like? Any that I should stay away from?

Feel free to speak from either a quality or a cost perspective. My company will reimburse me and I want to take good courses/programs, but I’m sure there are also limits to what they want to pay.

If your employer will pay you to travel and attend CPE in wonderful places, I recommend Western CPE. The instructors are top notch, and the locations (for the most part) are wonderful vacation spots. The classes start at 7:30 a.m. and you're out by 1:00 p.m. leaving the entire afternoon to do whatever you want. Supposedly the company has done studies and an attendee loses focus after 5-6 hours.

If looking for online sites, I use CPELink and CPA2biz. Both offer fine CPE classes – both self-study and online webinars.
