    Passed 1st 3 parts of exam and just have FAR left. Bc i work at big 4 with 2 busy seasons per yea,r my time is limited. I will lose REG if i dont pass FAR at the end of May. I wasnt able to start studying until 4/15 and on 5/3 im finishing up chapter 5. I am struggling with the MC and its taking me 4-5 min per question and I am only getting around 60% correct. Is there any chance I can pass the 1st time around?

    Won't be easy, but I wouldn't say it's impossible. You'll have to figure out how to use your time strategically. Get through at least chapters 6-9 each in a couple of days at most and maybe just skim ch. 10. Know your J/Es, they are critical for both SIMS and to help answer MCQs.

    BEC - 02/21/15 - 82
    FAR - 05/29/15 - 82
    AUD - 07/09/15 - 93
    REG - 11/14/15 - 80

    All done!!!

    You have been able to pass 3 parts in 21 months (or less) while working crazy hours,so you might have a good chance of passing, but you should try to take 10 days off right before the exam.

    BEC= 74-75

    First time around with the far questions it's normal to get in this 60s and spend 4-5 minutes on a question. Try to get through as much as the material at least once. Then review from your weakest areas on up. Also, see if you can use up some personal time or vacation time before your exam. Let your boss know you have an exam and credits expiring. If that doesn't work take some “sick days” lol

    Definitely. You know what you need to do to pass since you have already passed three. Im not sure what study material you are using, but skipping the lectures may not be a bad idea since you are on a time constraint. I would focus on the major financial chapters, gov/NFP, and IFRS vs GAAP differences. I agree with @Martin. Maybe try to get some time off the last week before your exam. Hopefully your company would understand since your REG is expiring.

    I'm gonna try and take 2-3 days off before but 10 wont be possible.

    @BD123 Im using Becker. I've been relying on the lectures for all other parts so far. How does skipping the lectures work?

    @DK100 I'm not saying they aren't helpful, but they are time consuming. I think those 20 hours would be better spent working problems if your on a time constraint. Everybody is different though. Just my personal opinion.

    Big 4 gives 2 month leave for you to pass the CPA. Ask your senior/manager/partner about that, and take time off. They don't walk around advertising that, but it is there and it's for you.

    @BD123 i was't disagreeing with you, I was genuinely asking what the strategy is to skip lectures. Do i just start doing MCQ with no idea whats flying and learn from the solutions?

    @Another85 Is the leave without pay?

    @DK100 my bad. I would read through the chapter and take good notes first. Work the practice problems that Becker has incorporated into there lectures as well while your reading through it and try to understand them. Then work the MCQ.

    Also, if you click the E-book link for the Becker lectures you can see the notes that the instructors have you write/what they have you highlight during the lecture videos.
