I’m about 75% done with mine but feel like every free moment I have needs to be spent working towards my next test (BEC). I’m scared to death I’m going to forget to finish my taxes, but still I procrastinate.

I passed by a guy today in a store wearing a H&R Block shirt…briefly thought for a moment…but then kept going. Absolutely preposterous to even consider…

Yes, I’ll finish them. I just don’t know when yet.

Am pretty thankful for the knowhow to do my own, but just wish taxes weren’t due until after I was done with all the tests.

    REG - Nov 4, 2013: 88
    FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86
    AUD - April 5, 2014: 91
    BEC - May 6, 2014: 83

    Florida CPA 24 July 2014
(Done in seven months - thank you Jesus!!)

Haven't started them and lost one of my husband's W-2s. Hopefully the reprint will be here in time for the 15th. 🙁 Damn FAR consumed me and made me forget all about taxes. FYI–I have forbid him from working with companies that don't allow for online access to W-2! Ggggrrrrrr!

Given that your BEC tests are both after the deadline, I'd either get an extension or finish the taxes now! But that's just me.

I did my taxes long ago, but just helped my little brother with his yesterday. He's a highschool student, just had 1 W-2, super straight-forward, but our dad had told him that since he “only” made around $8k, he didn't need to file. !#*%()&#!$ Thankfully he randomly asked me what the filing limit was and I got him straightened out! I'd hate to see him get failure-to-file penalties just cause my dad likes to guess at tax-law based on having taken accounting classes 30 years ago. Doesn't seem to realize that a class from 30 years ago isn't very helpful now! (And of course $8k would've required filing then, too, so not sure where he got his figure from anyway…)

My husband asked if our taxes were going on extension… I laughed at him and said, “absolutely yes they are going on extension”. He found it humerus. Its hard to find energy to do your own taxes when you've done about 150+ other returns in the last 3 months…
