So…I’m here again..I failed Audit twice.

The first time I took Audit, I got a 54. I knew I wasn’t ready and I had skipped reviewing 2 chapters. I re-studied and felt great about some Sims and MCQ, and I found out I got a 65. I NEED to pass it the third time. Now Im studying for REG and I’ll take that before I re-sit for AUD later. I know I’m doing something wrong, but what can I do to improve? ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks

I did a ton … (A TON) of MCQs and was trending 86% on Ninjas… with 95% complete and avg of 85 … Got a 75 which means the SIMS killed me and the MCQs carried me … hound them … I have no advice for the sims because I would do fine on all my practice SIMS and then obviously bomb them on the exam …

Advice … Get Ninja Notes and pound MCQs

Ninja MCQ is what truly helped me pass. I failed in Feb with a 65, and re-took in April and got a 84. I did go through my wiley text book and completed all of the Ninja MCQ. I contribute most of my success to Jeff's Ninja MCQ, Jeff if you read this you are the freakin man!

    FAR 81
AUD 65, 84 (Used Ninja MCQ which I say contributed to my huge increase in score I love you Jeff)
REG 87 (CPA excel Wiley Self Study Book, Ninja 10 point combo)
BEC 86! I Must Pass or I lose my FAR Credit, Pray for me(Becker, Wiley, WTB, Ninja MCQ, Ninja Notes)

    DONE!!!!!!

Using : Wiley CPA Exam Review Textbook, Wiley TB, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQ

After 2 attempts at AUD with those scores its apparent that you have multiple trouble areas and honestly should know what those are now due to the score reports or your personal studying. After you finish REG start from scratch on AUD, I don't know if I would recommend re-watching lectures but definitely re-study your notes / ninja notes on each section and then work through each sections homework (if you have Becker) until you have completed each section. Then, if you have Ninja MCQ work each question at least once. You should be pretty comfortable with the material at this point and definitely know where you're struggling. Use the last few days/week before your exam to LEARN your weak areas. With each of my exams I “try” to LEARN my weak areas a couple days before my exam so it is fresh. I did the above strategy with my first shot at AUD and scored a 96 and with a re-take on FAR and raised my score from a 73 to a 93. It's all about the effort you are willing to put in and not being afraid to acknowledge and learn your weak areas. (IMO) Also, I know everyone learns differently, etc. but don't make excuses, put in the effort, pass and move on with your life.

NInja MCQs got me over the hump. After you answer each question, read the correct and incorrect answer explanations. It really starts to soak in and you see the little tricks that the AICPA puts in the exam questions when you take the exam again. The SIMs almost seem impossible except for the research questions. I just felt like I was just trying to grab as many points as I could.

    BEC 80 (2/16/14)
    AUD 87 (4/1/15)

Ninja Notes, and MCQ's. Maybe I'm just strange but I thought the SIMS were easier than the MCQ's for audit. I could always narrow the MCQ's down to two, but then wasn't sure between those two. For the SIMS I felt like I either knew it or I didn't. Also, maybe the SIMS were easier for me because they were more like real life auditing which is what I do all day.

    FAR- 88
    REG- 88
    AUD- 93
    BEC-86
