FAR retake – what to do different

    So i bombed FAR bad, really bad, very weak.

    Plan to retake mid October. What should I do differently. What should I use to study.

    I am using Becker.

    How would NINJA stuff help me and which would be the best supplement of it to buy to get me prepared for the exam?

    Any info would help

    Also how do I go about rescheduling FAR, do I need a new application?

    Good point.

    I took Becker live for FAR then had about 20 days after to study on my own. Mainly did multiple choice two days per chapter and on the last three days did practice exams and random progress tests of 30 questions. About 10 of these.

    Make sure that you are identifying and nailing down weak spots. Go over a topic until you know it then move on.

    HANDWRITTEN FLASH CARDS!!! I can't emphasize that enough. You should be spitting flash cards.

    It's going to suck a lot, but watch each of the ten lectures and take handwritten notes. Yes, it's miserable. It also requires a lot more involvement than some other methods of studying. If you think it's a waste of time because it's horrible, you're doing it correctly.

    You do need to apply again, but how that works varies from state to state.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
    FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

    Did you feel that watching the videos was effective? On my re-take of FAR I just read the books. I still took copious notes, but read instead of watching, and for my learning style that helped a lot.

    I also heavily used flashcards the second time around.

    Don't give up! Keep going!
