As the title reads just came back from Aud. Went into Aud after completing Wiley course (lectures + reading the book twice + taking notes) and 1,597 Ninja MCQs with 78.5% trending score (ended up having 90%+ trending score before today).

I’m not very good at assessing the difficulty of the testlets so can’t really comment on that but the MCQs seemed fair. Last couple of days I focused a lot on the “difficult” (for me) areas of audit such as substantive tests, reports, opinions, etc…and retrospectively should have considered the overall picture more than drilling into particular areas.

SIMs were somewhat of a surprise as none of them seemed too terrible. I feel pretty good on 2 of them (100%), 75% on 3 others and about 60% on the remaining 2. 2 of the SIMs were quant based which was good.

I definitely didn’t knock it out of the ballpark but feel more positive about this experience than FAR. And that is what scares me because I passed FAR after having terrible experience so that just tells me that I may be utterly wrong on my prediction here. Guess will have to keep my fingers xed for next 2 weeks and hope for the best….

Last minute tips, let's see…I guess retrospectively I would have focused more on the mile wide, inch deep approach vs. mastering a few selected areas. Now obviously your experience may vary on a test day as there's just no telling what's going to happen.

I caught myself in a few instances where I read the question wrong and corrected my answer but I allowed myself plenty of time for each answer so this shouldn't be too bad. Aud is one of the tests that allows you to progress at a comfy pace and double-check responses if needed.

    Good luck!

It's funny because I took my AUD exam Monday and felt the exact opposite. I felt like I had a great overall understanding with no real weak area but no really strong area. Using ninja I finished all Q's and My highest average score of the 6 sections was 80% and my lowest was 76%. The test I got on Monday felt like it tested two section and very very detailed.

@AJ You just never know with these things… How were your SIMs like?

Sims were not extremely difficult. I would say 3 I got 100% right including research question. 1 I got 50% right and the rest are probably 70% correct. But I'll admit I had a bad attitude from all the questions. I've never felt more prepared going into the exam and worse coming out. I'm just now sort of coming down from my bitterness.

For the sims, try to use the AL. Most people have stated that they were able to use the AL for 2-3 of their sims. The one sim I had was word for word from the AL. If it was the pretest, o well. If it counts, 100% gimmie that!

I just finished AUD about an hour ago. I thought the 1st section of multiple choice was pretty easy. The next two sections were really hard and extremely detailed. I thought the SIMS were hard too. I used the research tab to answer two of the SIMS. I'm so glad it's over-whether I passed or not.

I was very nervous before taking AUD as it was my last exam. Turned out in the end I had nothing to worry about. If you prepared using Wiley, then you have as good a change as anyone of passing 🙂

@ Charlie What was your gut feeling after you were finished w the exam? I didn't ace it by any means but thought it was fair and feel like I have a shot at passing. So that's why I'm uneasy about it.

@czechchamp, I was pretty sure I passed once I left the testing center. I knew I got all of the sims except for 2, which I gave educated guesses on. Probably missed a handful of MCQ's.

I've noticed that people who do well on FAR, usually get a higher score on AUD. Based on your FAR score I'm sure you passed with at least an 80+.

Like you my trending score on Wiley TB was 90. Scored a 91 on the actual exam. My Wiley TB scores have all been almost identical to my actual scores. I think you're good 🙂

The quote in your signature is wrong. It is the other way around. You only fail IF you quit.
