Getting a Virginia License but taking sections of the test in another state

    Hi Everyone!

    I am a Virginia candidate who has taken one part of the CPA in Virginia. I planned to take another section in the late October time frame, however, due to work I will not be in Louisiana. I called the Virginia board of accountancy and they said where I sat for the exam was irrelevant since my section ID would identify that I am a Virginia candidate.

    I guess I am just apprehensive. Has anyone taken sections of the exam in a state that is different than the state they were receiving their license. Did you have any delays in score release or any issues down the road after you had passed all parts?
