    hey everyone,

any tips on getting back into the groove after 3 fails lol i have taken audit twice, 69 twice and the score sheets are really no help as they are polar opposites and a 73 on BEC.

just started full time but this is my 4th tax season and been on an office environment since junior year of college. Still have a year left on my MAC but feel the exam is more important to get done and then finish my 150. when i took the 3 sections i was doing about 5-6 hours a day so i feel i might work better while working and doing smaller study sessions during the week and bigger sections on the weekend.

i am using Wiley, personally i love the layout but feel i need to get NINJA MC to diversify my questions and see material in a different way. I have the extra test bank from Wiley but i think they dont change it up enough after doing this 3 times.

overall just been in a little slump since the score release and trying to get back to my normal positive self and cranking out study time 🙂

thanks!!! i am so close yet so far from a 75 😉 ahahhahaha

Three fails isn't so bad! I failed audit 3 times and just recently crushed it. Personally, the first 3 attempts I used Wiley slides, Wiley MCQ and Ninja Audio, I also made notes from the Ninja Audio. The 4th attempt I went back and read the Wiley study text to get the detail on everything and if I found something that I thought was important or felt I missed on the previous exams I added them to my Ninja Audio structured written notes, also, I bought Ninja MCQ and felt there was much more variety and the questions were more on the level of what you'd see on the actual test.

From failing that close you have a good base, you just have to go deeper.

I failed 5 tests straight before passing one… you just gotta keep on keepin' on

    BEC 60, 71, 71, 73, 81
    AUD 72, 81
    REG 60, 78
    FAR 71, 78

    Licensed CPA in Texas

    AUD - 72, 81
    FAR - 71, 78
    REG - 60, 78
    BEC - 60, 71, 71

IF I FALL, I WILL GET BACK UP. IF I AM BEATEN, I WILL RETURN.

I failed 5 in a row, then passed 2 in a row and now another fail. Keep working on your weakest areas and really take the time to understand them. Also, re-evaluate your review materials, what you currently have might not be the best for your learning style… I went from Wiley to Ninja 10pt Combo and now I have Roger.

    BEC 65, 71, 75
    AUD 62, 70, 78
    REG 67, 66, 65, 66, 64
    FAR 68, 64, 73

    BEC - 75 (3x)
    AUD - 78 (3x)
    REG - 67, 66, Aug 1
    FAR - 54, Sept 8

thanks everyone!!! thats exactly what i am doing right, just researching and trying to figure out what is going to be the best combo going forward.

i made notes this last time but i think i lose the passing grade in my final review, i noticed i tend to feel a little burnt out once i finish my study plan and have a hard time really hitting the final review hard. so i am def changing up that aspect.

i am debating a in class review program that is local to detroit but its 500 bucks for audit and not sure i need it with being so close. i do better in my on ground classes compared to online but not sure that going to a 4 hour class 5 times will do much for me compared to the Wiley lectures and materials i can supplement like NINJA, Rodger.

appreciate it again and we will get through this!

dbennet6, can be more detailed in explaining how you went from 73 to 92?

Winners don't quit. Quitters don't win.

    FAR - < than 75, 10/2013, 2/2015
    BEC - < than 75, 10/2013
    AUD - < than 75, 8/2015, 1/2016

~ Right now you may not be where you intend to be, but it's where you need to be in order to get where you want to go.
