Heavily Tested?

I was wondering what topics people who recently took REG felt like they were heavily tested on. I take April 20th and am freaking out a little. I was bad at individual and studied that hard and feel like it equally hurt me in c. s. corp/partnership/etc. I also have reviewed bus law but haven’t been spending a ton of time on it since I am told to mainly focus on tax. Has this generally been anyone else’s experience? I am using Becker exclusively and have kind of resorted to just doing MCQs and sims as much as I possibly can.

This is something no one should disclose. Stop cheating :). You did amazing in AUD, keep studying hard and you'll do swell in REG too.

I would focus on Entity tax the most (corporations and partnerships). You definitely shouldn't overlook Business law…it was heavily tested on my 2nd attempt and it's basically 17-20% of the exam. Individual is also pretty heavy…i wasn't very good at that either. Property tax is important too!

    AUD: 84
    FAR: 75
    BEC: 78
    REG: 75

    DONE-ZO!!!!!!!!

REG: Used Becker 2014 book, NINJA MCQ, Ninja notes, ninja audio

Sorry! Didn't mean to ask illegal questions. I guess more what I was trying to get at was Becker tends to tell you about 85% of the exam would be the tax and ethics portion and the rest bus law. I was just trying to see if anyone had a consistent experience with that or if in reality it is just all over the place.

So here's the thing. I can tell you that there areas on my exam that were heavily tested. In fact, I was really mad when I took it because I could have not studied for 70% of the Becker book and probably done just as well. The thing is that our exams won't look the same, so there's not much point. What they grilled me on could be hardly tested at all for you.

The main piece of advice I would give is to know the big picture concept of every topic like the back of your hand. I found Becker dove into way too much detail that hardly ever gets tested. If the actual exam does go into that much detail, you're probably killing the MC and are well on your way to a CPA (rhyme intended)

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 76 (phew)
    BEC - 88
    REG - 77

    DONE!
