    Hey guys,

I am about to start my REG studies and was just wondering if anyone knew of any websites that were helpful for them in their studies? I found it very helpful when I was studying for audit to refer to the SASs while I studied. So far I have

    http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26 for the IRC.

Does the IRS Forms & Pubs site come in handy?

    I am using Gleim btw.

    Thanks!

    Hi Eric,
I am also using Gleim as well, but I am pretty sure that I fail FAR that I just took on 2/1. I followed the Gleim process for all 20 SU, but I could not get high % of passing over 4 or 5 of the SU. Since you pass with 85, could you share what was your study habits / patterns / mcq's / sims so that I can evaluate some more successful technique?

    Thanks, Hiya!!!

    Hi @DLu!

I was also trying to figure out the best process to study for AUD, which was my first exam.

This is my process for Gleim:
    1. Thoroughly read the SUB unit (i.e. SU1.1)
    2. Take a Study Session online for that sub unit (for REG I'm trying to do at least 20Qs per unit. FAR I think I selected “customized exam options” and under Question Source I selected “Use only questions that appear in Gleim Review books”)
    3. Continue to do this until you complete the entire study unit/chapter
    4. Go to Gleim Online and complete the content on there (I didn't waste my time on the videos/audio, but some people learn diff)
    5. Continue this until you complete the book

    Final Review:
    1. Complete the Exam Rehearsal to see how you feel (I had to push my FAR exam date back a couple times which is a bummer but I'm glad I did!)
    2. For a day or 2, take as many 20Q practice exams as possible and record these results in Excel (this allows you to see what units you need to work on without skewing them from earlier practice exams)
    3. From your Excel file unit % totals, see what units you suck at
    4. Take study sessions on each of your weak units individually and hone your skills until you feel confident
    5. Last few days take practice exams until your brain wants to explode! (I seriously suggest selecting “Customized exam options” but don't really customizing anything because the “Gleim suggested approach” always gives me the same dang questions!)
    6. Pass the exam!!!!!

    Retake:
For my AUD retake I just did Study Sessions from question #1 to question #2268 in the standard order and went unit by unit until I completed every question. Then I did a similar final review at the end. Hopefully I passed this time!

I really hope this helps! It is very tedious and can take a long time but its worth it. Also, remember that the $35 reschedule fee is nothing compared to a Fail and a $170 registration fee so if you don't feel confident reschedule! And don't stress too much. You may have passed! I just looked at my FAR practice exam scores and I was getting around 50%-60% on them. We will find out on the 23rd!

    GOOD LUCK!!

    @Eric,

Thanks, I pretty much did everything you had written down for FAR up to the Final Rehearsal, then I switch to NINJA MCQ's for about total of 30 hrs and avg high 60's and trending around 70's. But I am pretty sure I did not pass the FAR, so wanted to know so that I can plan to re-study for 2nd rounds. Thanks for the detail. I am incorporating NINJA REG from the get go to what you have done for FAR. Hopefully I will be successful in May for the REG.

    Dlu
