I’ve passed FAR and it will expire in July 2015. I feel no problem with Bec but frustrated about Reg and Aud. Took Reg recently and failed at 68 which I thought I could pass… and AUD, waiting for the score now, not sure about the result…

I have friends who hit each section 85+ only used becker…The strategy they used is doing humongous questions everyday. I tried it during my last Reg test preparation but it’s not working as you see from my score…

Can any people pls give me some suggestions? Should I take live review courses? What course other than Becker do you think is suitable for me? I live in west suburb of Chicago.

    Appreciate your help:)

I tried the live Becker course and it did nothing for me. It was the same as watching the lectures on your own.

    AUD: 4/2
    BEC: 5/14
    FAR: 7/30
    REG:

I agree with your friends. Practice makes perfect. I would assume having a live class would be the same as the videos except it'll be more inconvenient to be there physically. Would be good if you're the type that asks a lot of questions I guess. Just do more questions. Try to understand and not just memorize.

The live and video Becker lectures each have their pros and cons.

In my opinion, Tim Gearty might have some annoying quirks, but I think the video lectures actually do a better job of explaining concepts and going over the chapters than the Live lectures do. It's actually pretty obvious that the live lectures pattern themselves after the video lectures so the actual lecture is pretty much the same.

On the other hand, you don't get to ask Tim any questions if you're struggling with something. But if your classes have been anything like mine, people just sit there and absorb information without really interacting at all.

Since I start my new job on Monday, I'm seriously considering just doing the video lectures for the rest of my Becker program. I can do it on my time and not have to worry about a lecture going late.

In my opinion, live classes are only necessary for people who want more structure in their study program ,or have a hard time keeping themselves focused/on task. There's a significant advantage to being fully in control of your study plan using a self-study approach, assuming that you can stay on task.

Like your friends, I also knock out tons of MCQ to prep after watching the videos online, usually to the tune of a couple thousand per section (sometimes more) as a way to study. I also like the NINJA notes/audio (I rewrite the notes by hand), but despise flashcards (and they're a waste of study time IMO).

Thank you guys! I think my strategy maybe wrong…I did 150+ questions at a time rather than split them into several testlets…Stupid:(
