I’m taking AUD on Tuesday… should I just do light studying tomorrow – things I really need to go over or should I do another practice exam?

    AUD - passed
    BEC - retake in July

I am taking AUD on tuesday too! What are you using to study? I am using the Wiley book and test bank…at this point i have unintentionally memorized all the MC Q&A and the SIMS on the test bank – not the ones in the book from doing it over and over again. Not sure what to do next… I am so sick of this! i just want it to be OVER!

HI! I am using CPA Excel – have just been doing the MC Questions over and over again and yeah- I've memorized a bunch of them too – CPA Excel now says Wiley on the bottom so the questions you are using are probably really similar. I bought the Ninja notes too and rewrote them and reread once or twice! I'm averaging about an 80 right now- hope I'm ready. What state are you taking the exam in? I'm taking in MA. This will be my second time taking AUD – took once about a year ago and wasn't ready. I've just really started studying again since after July 4.

Yep i heard CPA Excel was bought out by Wiley. Im in CO, this will be my first time taking AUD! I am averaging about 90s (mainly due to memorization which isn't going to help me much). I hope it will be ok! I am really worried about the SIMS! but alot of people have been saying to use the AL to answer Qs. Will definitely try that. Good Luck!

I'm worried about the SIMS too – mostly the ones using ratios… I tried searching the AL for the ratios – but it's not there that I found- last time I took AUD I ran out of time so I'm going to try to leave at least an hour and a half for the SIMs if not longer. I also did the practice exam on the AICPA website for the SIM section so be more familiar with the layout since it was different than CPAExcels – the searching functions were different. if you haven't done the practice on AICPA I would recommend that. Good Luck! How much are you going to study tomorrow? I was going to try to take the day off and just do light studying. I'm going to do another set of 90 MCQs tonight and maybe again tomorrow…

I know for me, when I took FAR, I did like 4 progress tests and then flipped through the Becker book to make sure I knew everything. Then I stopped around 4 PM. I watched TV and played Scrabble the rest of the night lol. I had an 8:30 AM exam the next day.

My plan for REG this week is to do the same.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 76
    REG - 89

I wouldn't say to take a practice exam the day before the exam. If you don't do well, that'll make you panic and put you into a paranoid mood (from experience, that is a terrible feeling to have). Plus, practice exams are there for you to know your weak areas so that you can work on them a few days/weeks before the exam.

I would really recommend going over your flashcards, writing (or re-writing) formulas, and if you have enough time, rewriting the NINJA notes.

What I also do is read the glossary at the back. That is very helpful (in my opinion).

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

I personally only look at flash cards (ones i narrowed down a few days prior that i need to get burned into my head), read ninja notes, and look over my written notes. If you have 1 or 2 terrible areas, maybe think about doing one more MCQ round in those areas. I wouldn't do too much though. Don't want to be burned out for the actual exam.

day before the exam i'd just do mc questions, like 80 of em. then call it a night, watch a movie, go to the gym.

    Reg 4/06/13 81
    Far 5/28/13 86
