NINJA Question –

Hello!

I just started studying for FAR last week. I’m taking the Becker live classes (firm is paying for it), but I haven’t figured out how to study outside the classroom. I don’t read before going to class, but I’ve watched the lectures the day after, and I also have been doing the homework until I get everything right (F1&2). This process is taking me forever though, and I’m starting to think that I won’t have enough time to finish everything (Becker & use my Ninja material). I already scheduled my first exam for July 6, so I have 5 weeks left (3 weeks to finish F5-10 & 2 weeks to review) if I finish F3 & F4 by Sunday ( haven’t started F3 (just went to class) or F4 yet).

I also have the Ninja notes, book & MCQs. I’ve read the notes twice & written once, read 2 chapters from the book, & I haven’t really touched the MCQs just yet. I bought these material after I downloaded the free samples, and I think Ninja materials are great. I want to use them, but I’m not sure how….

So, my questions for you are:

1) If you used (or are using) Becker, were your scores for the HW really low? (Like 20%-70% per section on first & second try? I wait a day or two to do the HW since watching the lectures & taking notes takes a lot of time, so my scores are low).

2) When did you start taking the progress tests? Did you take them after the chapter was over, or did you wait until you finished the 10 chapters?

3) If you are/were using Ninja as a supplement, did you wait until you finished your main course review and then started using your Ninja material? Or is it a good idea to use them at the same time? (I don’t know if I should start Ninja MCQs now or wait until my “review” stage).

4) Is the final review for Becker a good idea? (I’ve only heard it takes almost all day, but I’m not sure if that will help me pass).

Sorry about the long post…This will be the first time I take a section for this exam, and I’m just getting very anxious. I just want to pass the exam as soon as I can, but I don’t see how I’ll do it because there is so much information. Any tips, advice or studying suggestions will be very appreciated. Thank you!
