I’m using CPAExcel for FAR, but it does feel like A LOT of material. Outside of knowing what topics I’m better or worse at than others, is there any simple way to identify what to just glance over?

If you want to pass, then the answer to your question is none of it.

I gave a lot of thought to doing the same thing with some areas. Then I just sucked it up and did it anyway. Turned out that a good chunk of my exam consisted of those areas. My advice, take no short cuts and go through all of it. Especially if you're not under much of a time constraint. These exams are “like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get”. Exactly what Kricket said. I remember having questions on the exam and the study material may have covered it in a very small paragraph or two sentences for that matter. You have to cover everything..
