If somebody offered to pay you to take the CPA exam, what price would you charge?

I’ve been asking coworkers at my firm and have been surprised by their answers.

I’m not a crook (just curious).

If the credit goes to me I dont need to get paid. If the credit goes to someone else I will walk away regardless of the amount of money offered. I love my sleep and fraud will give me sleepless nights.

I should have mentioned to ignore the obvious ethical issues. Just curious about the going market rate for a passing effort.

Sorry for multiple posts. Not sure why that happened.

Ignoring all ethical issues, and speaking completely hypothetically…

If I were in good financial condition– 10 million, or some other absurdly high number

If I were in financial straits and unemployed, able to study full time– 50k

If I were in financial straits and employed, having to add studying onto my already full schedule– 75k

    REG- 53, 91
    BEC- 88
    FAR- 62, 85
    AUD- 85

    Ethics- 93

No amount of money would EVER convince me to take that exam again.

I would charge $10,000. Just think about the economies of scale involved here. Sure, initially acquiring the knowledge to pass sucks but then afterwards you can bang out passing test after passing test and make 10k for each person who is willing to pay you.

    $7,500 per section.

Well since I don't think it would ever work out (fingerprints and all that) I would make sure to get whatever money up front. hahahah

Considering I've passed all sections recently and I wouldn't need to spend a lot of time to re-study I'd probably do it for 1k per section focusing on quantity over gross margin.

I think this actually happens for a lot of tests that don't require finger prints. They were smart to add that to the “check in” procedure.

IF it were legal and ethical: I'd do AUD for free(good practice!), BEC for $500, FAR for $1000 and REG for $5000.

    REG - Passed!!
    BEC - Passed
    FAR - Passed
    AUD - Passed

    Study Materials: Becker basic course

I would do it provided i get to sleep with Heidi Klum each time i try a part:)_

FARE is 4.5 hours, so Heidi would be spending 2 nights with me.

hahahah. I have met Heidi. She is NOT a nice person. You'd have to make sure that she was also not allowed to talk during her “duties” with you.

    Sandra-

She is a hot women, don't care much about her being nice or not. Naughtier the better, will use tape for her lips, while i perform my duties:)_

But then i want it to be natural, so no tape , i will use ear plugs
