Hi guys, I know some states allow having non-accounting experience to fulfill the 1 year work experience, while other states do not. However, I was told by a friend of mine that your experience requirement doesn’t have to be “accounting experience” to meet the 1 year CPA work experience requirement. So, with that being said, does anybody know if having a “bank teller job” fulfills this requirement? I was a senior bank teller for about 2 years and I was performing supervisory duties as a senior bank teller. But, I am not sure if this experience qualifies for my IL 1 year work experience. I had tried to call the department regarding this, and they said I would need to send in the application for them to tell me if this qualifies. But, what I am afraid is that this experience doesn’t qualify and I had wasted 6-8 weeks just waiting on them for this.

Anyone have an idea, especially the IL candidates?
