Is it possible to pass all four parts in eight weeks with full-time studying?

    Hello all,

I am pretty paranoid right now, and did not know how much information I was getting into before I spend all of the money on review and application fees.

The situation is this- I plan on studying for 8 weeks straight, about 12 hours a day. This gives us about 650 hours (taking out the days where I actually go take the exam, and I do not plan on studying after taking the exam on the same day….)

I just want to know from those of you who have passed- is it doable to pass all FOUR parts in these time given? I already schedule my exams, and my education background was in accounting with pretty good grades.

(also, the time includes watching videos and lectures.)

Just want to have a realistic expectation.

    Thanks!

There's no way I could have done all four parts in 8 weeks. If you can pull it off – many kudos!

lilyjin0906, what is your background young blood? Did you finish college with a 3.70 or above? You feel that Accounting came easy in your college years? If you did not, there is a bigger chance that the US will turn communist after we have the new elections.

Hey guys! My academic background for both bachelor and master are in accounting and my grades were pretty good.

So sounds like the conclusion from posts above is- NO CHANCE?

Possible – yes. Hard – yes.

There have been members post on here before that have passed all 4 sections with minimal time dedication and review. Give it your best shot and see what you can do. Good luck!

It can be done. Its highly rare, I've been here almost 5 years and think I've seen 3 people pull it off so there is a chance.

I will say this, its nothing at all like college even grad school. Good grades are nice (I had a great GPA but failed 3 cpa exams before I was licensed.) Its more a test of perseverence and commitment.

ARCPA2B- Thanks for the note!!!! I was getting really discouraged but already have the exams scheduled.

I think you are absolutely right- I just gotta give my best shot and 110% to see what's possible. Even if I fail, at least I know that I tried the best.

This is where the science kicks in meaning your brain will have a hard time retaining the material. That is way too much studying with little rest/breaks involved. Your brain needs breaks to embed the information. With the rate you want to study as soon as you learn something it's going to be pushed out when another new topic is being learned. Good luck though!

Two parts in that time frame is realistic.

Four parts… I'd say you don't know what you are getting yourself into.

Unless you have a photographic memory, no. It took me two windows to pass all four while studying full time. First test was taken May 1, 2014 and took my last the very end of August 2014. I studied from 9-6 M-F and 9-3 on Saturdays. During those hours I had to take breaks and lunches. Treated it like a job. Passed and got my $5,000 bonus on my first check. Some of the other people I graduated with decided it was more important to jack around that summer after graduation. Guess how much they hate their life right now.

My belief is that anyone capable of passing the CPA in 2 months should not be a CPA. That's a waste of true potential.

    BEC x1 - Passed
    REG x2 - Passed
    Audit x1 - Passed
    FAR x2 - Passed

    BEC: ☑ x1 attempt(s)
    REG: ☑ x2 ''
    AUD: ☑ x1 ''
    FAR: ☑ x2 ''

    Done!

I think it's crazy and impossible. A lot of people say it's possible and they do it. You will suffer, yes, but not for long!

Watching the lectures takes a TON of time and will really make it challenging at best to get through all the material in 2 weeks per exam. I can't even fathom it.

    BEC - 02/21/15 - 82
    FAR - 05/29/15 - 82
    AUD - 07/09/15 - 93
    REG - 11/14/15 - 80

    All done!!!

I'd say it is possible if you study hard and are a good test taker i.e. you time manage, don't panic, and eliminate answers quickly. And you also better have a strong background, and I mean you actually know your stuff, not just got As in school by cram studying.

    BEC - 78
    AUD - 75
    REG - 74, 79
    FAR - 75

You have to buy a ticket to win the raffle.
