Is there a chance I could start studying for REG tomorrow and pass by AUG 27? My work schedule really increases in SEPTEMBER and I won’t have the time to put into REG that I would like. So my thinking was, to study as much as I can for REG sit for it at the end of August, and if I fail then sit for it again in OCT, and take BEC by late NOV (before thanksgiving). This way it will force me to study for REG in that time period. and if I fail i can take it again in one month. This way it will be more of a review for me during the busy season….the rush is ….the bonus. I feel like I am rolling the die. I

Nothing in the 80s ; however, I worked full time the whole time! (like 10 hour days) so it can be done 🙂

It's worth a try if you're okay with paying to take the exam again. I've seen people post that they do nothing but work, eat, sleep and study for a month and pass a section of the exam. If it were me, I would go for it.

I think it's definitely doable. I put in 233 hours from April 2 to May 26 and got a 94. So, I studied 7 1/2 weeks. You would have 2 weeks less if you started today. You may not get a 94, but who cares. I studied 4 hours each day M-F and 6 hours each day Sat-Sun.

Wow Lindrobe – how did you prepare for REG? my retake is scheduled in a month and I know that the SIMS killed me. I literally winged about 3 of them and struggled with the rest. Do you have any tips and suggestions for my review for the next month?

Kemy, I read the text once and then pounded away at tons of Ninja MCQs and went through all of the Ninja flashcards a few times. Also, went through all of the Ninja SIMS. While I was reading and doing MCQs, I made a two page note sheet of key points and reviewed my note sheet daily. The note sheet also serves as a good quick review the morning of the exam. I did not spend time memorizing phase outs, thresholds, etc.

Cool – what text did you read?

I used the Wiley Text book and the Wiley Test Bank (WTB), but WTB just merged with another review program and I don't like using that one as much as the old version. On the other hand I did use Ninja flashcards, notes, and audio along with Gleim SIMS the first time around. Based on what you shared, I think it would be a good idea to add Ninja SIMS/MCQ this time around – but definitely focus on SIMS.

Kemy, I used the Fast Forward Academy text (not widely known on A71 I have noticed). FF Academy also includes MCQs, SIMS, and practice tests, but I found that Ninja pretty much covers all the same questions and more. Ninja's SIMs are better than FF Academy and better represent what is on actual exam, so I resorted to using it a lot more.
