Is this plan too rushed?

My employer agreed to pay for the Becker review course so I am about to register for the classes. I have a question about if my plan is reasonable. The class dates I’ll list below are how they are offered at a particular location and are live on Saturday from 8:30-5. I was thinking Becker booked the class dates because they made sense and wouldn’t intentionally run things too close together. As a rough guide I was thinking I would attend class on Saturday study 4-5 hours on Sunday and 2-3 hours each week night after work. Which is 7:30-5 but I can flex some if I need to come in a little later or leave a little earlier.

5/30 to 6/13 AUD review for two weeks after course ends and test the first week of July. Really not looking forward to this section.

7/11 to 8/1 REG Test before August 19th. (I have a long weekend trip planned on the 20th hopefully to relax.)

9/12 to 9/26 BUS Test first week of October.

10/10 to 11/7 FAR Test the week after class finishes. (Out of town starting on the 13th.)

Does this sound ok? Should I change any areas? Should I look at registering for some classes at a different location so that they are in a different order or have more time in between? An input is appreciated!

You may want to leave some more time to review FAR. It's alot of material.

Its fast, but doable if you really push yourself. The benefit is, if you rush and take them all right away and stick with it then any retakes you will have a full year or more to work with. So if you are willing to push it go for it. I studied way too much for BEC which I took first, then not as much for REG. Studied a lot for FAR and only about a month for AUD.

    BEC 87 Feb 14
    REG 84 Apr 14
    FAR 82 Nov 14
    AUD 86 Feb 15

False. Becker doesn't know how quickly you can study and learn and practice the material. They just throw it all at you and let you figure it all out.

Regardless of how much you spread out or cram the total study frame, all that matters is how much actual time you put in.

In each of your examples, you're suggesting around 4 + (2 x 5) + 8 = 22 to maybe 28 hrs/week. Over 3-4 total weeks, that's plenty of study time for most of these sections, but that depends on you as well to make sure it's quality learning and study time and also depends on where you're at today and how quickly you expect to be able to pick up the material.

I have been doing Becker on the course rotation. In campus and everything. I feel that they are probably too close together, but it is doable. My friend has been doing them with me, as well. I haven't passed a test (out of 2), but she took one test and passed.

It is going to boil down to how much experience you already bring to the table, your level of catching on to this type of material and retaining it, and how much time you invest into studying.

I don't have any accounting experience (friend does) and I pick things up really quick, but by the time I finish the last chapter, I forgot most of the first half already.

You can do it, though … I have seen it.

Almost always from my phone... please excuse my typos!

Thanks for the feedback. I've registered! I was able to pick between two locations so that the dates are the same but AUD and FAR are before the other two, which I've seen suggested on this forum. I guess I'll see how it goes. Good luck on your exams everyone.
