    Hello all,

I work in tech support and am also taking my cpa exam so i thought i would offer a bit of help for some people.

Wiley needs java to run its simulations which can be a hassle for some people because they cannot seem to get it to work on different browsers because of security settings from either the browser or java. (chrome firefox IE)

The only step that most people need to take is going into the java console and adding the wiley website to their java security console and making sure that you have javascript enabled for your web browser (which most people already do)

    Windows 7:

    1. Click on the windows button

    2. Click on Control Panel

    3. At the top right, search in the control panel for Java

    4. Click on the Java program.

    5. Click on the security tab

    6. Under Exception site list, Click Edit Site List

    7. Click add and put in, https://wiley.cliksonline.com.

My test is in 8 days so I am not going to spend time putting in other O/S steps to take until maybe after my far exam is over with. But putting this for people who are having trouble with java and the simulations.

    Feeling panicked 🙁 GL Guys!

It took me a couple of hours to make this correction last month after a Java update, and I am on crappy Vista. I hear Wiley is doing away with the need for Java, which is great news.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

The latest update to Java 7 Update 51 caused me a bunch of problems, had to roll back to a prior version.
