This is a description of myself obviously. I would need 27 more education credit hours and 1 year of experience directly under a cpa. Which I believe I can just take bulls*** classes to be honest. I’ll have had 2-3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.

Is this something that is marketable?

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 76
    REG - 87

Construction accounting experience is very marketable if you want to stay in that or a similar field (e.g. manufacturing, other industries that use cost/project/production accounting) because there are, as you know, some intricacies that accountants coming from other industries would have to learn. You'd have an advantage there. I've spent my entire accounting career in insurance, and the same is true in my industry. Experience with statutory accounting and all the regulatory filings puts you way ahead of applicants without it.

On a side note, be sure about just how “BS” your remaining courses are allowed to be. All states are different, but there are a lot of states that require any additional classes you take to reach your total hours be upper division and/or within certain subject areas. Make sure you comply with those limits, if any.
