What a load of garbage. The questions were so specific and obscure I have no clue how anyone could pass that. I studied for six months and will be lucky to have gotten a 50. Gleim didn’t help at all the questions on the test were way more in depth then anything in the Gleim prep material. I have no clue how anyone could pass this exam I got a 93 on BEC after studying for 2 months but this I could study for a year and couldn’t pass. What the hell is up with this test?!?!?!

I am sure you did better than you think. I thought I bombed REG, and I was pleasantly surprised with my grade. I was at the point I was 100% sure I failed, and I was just preparing for a retake. You never know with these exams. You just have to pray about it and hope for the best. Good luck!

You may want to get the Ninja MCQ to get a fresh perspective if Gleim wasn't the best. I've heard good things about it. I just started studying for REG to take in July so I can't help much with discussing the material, but I know it is hard for a lot of people and it will probably be my most difficult one to pass because I dislike taxes and business law with a passion. Hang in there. I agree that you could be surprised with the results. I just knew I failed AUD my second time because the questions were nothing like what I studied, but I passed on you may too. Good luck on Friday!

For REG- Just to Becker. The questions are similar to Becker. Hope you pass, we all need that CPA title.

@candle: If you have not yet received your score, don't panic. You may do better than you think. I used Gleim and I felt that I did terrible on REG but I got okay score.

Anyway, there is no point of kicking yourself for something already happened. Move on to the next one, you should be fine.

    BEC 91 (01/06/13)
    REG 91 (01/24/13)
    FAR 86 (02/10/13)

    Feel so close 😀

@Candlemass that's what worked for me. But, I am sure you did a lot better than you think. I thought I did horrible, and I passed. You just have to hope for the best and wait to see what happens.

I got screwed over bad because what was on the test was the stuff I didn't study of course. But the problem is I'm not like you guys, I don't work in public accounting; I may never even get the CPA work experience so the fact I just wasted a whole weekend and 250+ dollars on this garbage and now I need to take it again is a huge hit to me. Not to mention I don't think I want to spend more money on prep software, my resources are running low.

@candle–You sound exactly like I did coming out of AUD, the one I passed not the one I failed. I seriously didn't recognize half of the stuff on that test and honestly wondered if I was even taking AUD. I was miserable. I cried. I had the attitude of F%&^ the CPA Exam. PLUS I just read a post where you thought you failed BEC but you passed with a 93! If you got a 93 and thought you failed then there is seriously something wrong with your judgement of your testing experiences and I'm going to guess that it was no different for this test. Calm down, relax, wait a few more days until score release and then get worked up IF you failed.

Well BEC was different that was my first test so I wasn't sure what good and bad one.

I can't disclose details but Nasba or whoever makes the test seriously screwed me and looking back on it I guess I could've passed maybe but barely by the skin of my teeth. I can't even find the answers to the questions I was asked in my prep software.

Anyways I'm studying FAR now definitely going to take that before end of August and I'm already done with Chapter 1 so I'll just have to wait to see REG. I have no clue how I'm going to pass both these parts next window if I did fail

    @Mamabear

I felt exactly the same way during my AUD exam. I believe we took it during the same testing window last year.

I wanted to leave right in the middle of the second testlet. I almost cried, most of the questions seemed foreign. I punched myself in a head (pretty hard) and ordered myself to focus.

I probably failed REG as well. I am not going to worry about it until I see my score.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

And it's easy for you guys to just say I failed whatever not for me. I am not working at an accounting firm making a lot of money I'm getting by on the skin of my teeth so 300 bucks is a ton of cash money to me.

I spent 5 years in college and passed 2 parts of the CPA exam and still I can't make it out of my mothers basement and get my own place at the age of 35

Don't assume that everyone taking the cpa exam is working at these big firms and making a lot of money. Most of us are not. That's why we are studying and trying to get better. I had to quit my full time job and pick up something part time just to make ends meet so i could pass this test. Everyone has their story and their struggles, financially mentally family etc.

If you failed, it's not the first or the last, that it happens in the cpa exam. Than let it motivate you to do better in the next one. Many candidates have passed it so it is DOABLE! I took reg to last thursday, and I also think I failed, and 300 bucks is tons of cash money for me to.. but doesn't meant anything because it's simply a temporary sacrifice that will pay off in the future!!!

    FAR - 82
    AUD- 91
    REG- 81
    BEC- 78

If it's important, you will find a way... if not, you will find an excuse. LET 2014 be the year!!!!

It wasn't easy for me to fail. Regardless of the fact that I have a job that pays the bills, I still have a mortgage, 3 kids, a car payment, lots of diaper, uniforms to buy for my daughter, etc. We all have our own financial situations, which are usually the result of choices we have made and we try to offer the best advice possible based on what you post about. Norrmally I try to be very encouraging, but you have to know that it's not easy for any of us. Most of us have failed at least one and it sucks, but I didn't blame my materials or the test. I blamed myself. It looks like you are looking for someone to blame and honestly it's hard to find encouraging words for someone that doesn't want to accept any responsibility for a failing score.
