MA to CA License Question

Hi everyone. Fairly new to the site here, looking for insight into potentially transferring a license from Massachusetts to California or holding a license in both states.

I am planning to have all sections completed for the MA license soon and will have an Accounting grad. degree which is enough to get licensed in MA (w/o attest experience).

I am interested in potential full-time opportunities in CA after graduation (Big4) and want to know how having a MA license will effect me. I feel like I should take the opportunity regardless and let the licensing work out later, but I certainly wouldn’t want to jeopardize my future license in any way that would make transfering / dual state holding more difficult in the future.

Any insight in how the CA experience requirement works and how receptive they are to licensing out of state CPA’s. Is it unheard of for an out of state CPA to work in another state for extended periods of time? Is it possible to hold an active license in more than one state?

    Thanks for your help.
