I just want to thank you. A few months ago you posted and described how you increased your score by 24 points. I responded and told you that your post had finally given me the motivation that I needed to pass this exam. You probably have no idea how much you actually motivated and inspired me with your post. All this time, I blamed my failing scores on the fact that I just wasn’t a good test-taker. I finally realized that day why I wasn’t passing. The problem wasn’t the test. And being a good/bad test-taker was just my excuse. The problem was me. I was not giving it all of my effort. I was studying for a 75, not a 99. I decided that day that I was not going to accept anything less than a passing score. After 3 years and 13 half-assed attempts at passing the exam, I received my FIRST PASSING SCORE on Audit this morning. I followed your tips. I took my own notes and I actually read and re-read those notes until I understood why I was getting wrong answers. Then I re-wrote those notes. Then I practiced thousands upon thousands of MC questions until I could recite them on my own. For the very first time, I walked into my exam with confidence. I knew the material and I knew I was capable of passing. I really just wanted you to know how much I appreciated that post. It was exactly the kick in the ass that I needed. Thank you again.

    Wow.

Just. Wow. That is… for lack of a better word … awesome.

Thank you so very much for reaching out and sharing your story. Good for you for never giving up!

Kabur, congratulations. You really earned your AUD pass. You made the commitment, you did the work. And no one could have done it for you. Soak it in, because there are 3 more passes where that one came from 🙂

I know how good that first pass felt for me, after multiple fails, it was a validation, confirmation, and inspiration. It let me know I really can do this.

    And you can too.

Keep us updated on your progress, please! What is up next?

Thanks everyone! Seriously, I absolutely love how supportive this forum is!!

On Friday night I told my husband that I was terrified to check my score. I knew that I had done everything I could have possibly done to the pass the exam. I was confident about the material and I felt really good leaving the exam. I told him that if I didn't receive a passing score on Saturday morning, there was no way that I could continue the CPA journey. At that point I had given my all, I literally had nothing left to give, and I was ready to give up. After so many failed attempts, I was just expecting to see yet another failing score. I was shocked–but I knew that I had put in the work and I finally deserved that passing score!

Next up: Financial on July 1st!!
