Which way of completing MCQs do you guys think is most effective when preparing for the exam, doing sets of multiple choice on one topic at a time and then when finished practicing on all questions, or finishing one topic and then blending that topic into your next topic of study.

For example on FAR (20 questions on Deferred Taxes, then 20 questions on Deferred Taxes and Fixed Assets, etc) until you are including all topics.

Which way has led you to the most success?

Hey, I havent passed but this round for tomorrow's test I have had been doing single sections yesterday, today blended. I did the sections I wanted to review a little more in detail. But that is just review. When I finish a section after reading book/notes/audio I also just do the sections I learned about.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below

    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

I use Becker software and after I finish all the lectures and MCQ, I will start doing 100 question MCQ simulated exams.

The only problem with that is that the questions are in order by lecture. Example: I'm doing REG right now and I choose a 100 question simulated exam. The first 11 Q's are on R1, the next 13 on R2, the next 16 on R3, etc etc. I wish it would mix the questions up so I'm not doing all the same questions from a particular topic in a row.

    FAR: 87
    AUD: 86
    BEC: 86
    REG: 84! Officially Done!

One section @ a time in STUDY MODE for everything. For final review, I would cover 5-6 chapters/day (CPAExcel) in STUDY MODE as well. It works!
