More Challenging than WTB? How did you use WTB?

So I took FAR in Oct and failed. I felt I didn’t get a huge challenge out of the WTB. Now I may not have used it like I should in terms of taking notes on ALL wrong answers. I would just think I would remember next time. So let me ask how do you all study with WTB? Just write notes on what you got wrong? Rewrite the question, answer, and explanation? Details please because clearly I wasn’t doing my right lol

But just for kicks, is there any other test bank that might be more challenging than the WTB? Or different variety?

I felt like I received a lot of the same questions on the WTB and I would just have remembered the answer and/or why its right. What do you all do in that case as well?

    Thanks in advance!!

I used WTB for all exams. I usually did MCQ topic by topic multiple times. If I missed some questions second time around, I did a print screen of that question with the answer explanation. I reviewed my notes and then did MCQ again.

You just have to make sure you understand all concepts very well.

The only other source I used were AICPA released questions 2013. You can Google them. Good luck!

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

I also took notes of main concepts and journal entries. Yes it takes forever but it's the best way to memorize so much info.

I also used Roger CPA review which was a great help. Roger's lectures were amazing for FAR.

After completing a section of MCQs, I went through EVERY question and wrote notes on the question itself, the solution, and why the other solutions were wrong.

I also grouped these notes together, based on section and specific topic (ex: PPE depreciation)

After doing this for all available MCQs, I rewrote each sections notes (including NINJA Notes) on a legal pad (about 1 to 2 sections a day) and numbered each page for review (ex: IIIa, IIIb…)

For the SIMs, I went through EVERY problem and screenshot the actual SIM and the solution and transferred them to a word document which I printed out for review (separate page for each SIM or it tends to get confusing)

This method really helped me (especially the rewriting) to understand the material: I increased my FAR score from a 60 to a 76!!!

    Good Luck πŸ™‚

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77
