Hi I need some advice on my studying behavior.

I just cant seem to skip and forget about an unresolved question while doing MCQ or difficult concepts. Especially when I get a question that seem to relate to journal entry. I look up the internet for several hours and end up spending hours on just one question. And the explanations on the internet are not quite consistent, so it adds even more confusion sometimes. Or sometimes I don’t know how to look up things..

Its been several years since I took my last intermediate accounting classes and I don’t have solid understanding of accounting especially journal entries…

Skipping questions that I dont understand worries me that i am ignoring a piece of building block that is needed to learn the next thing.. As I see the same troubled questions, I just unconciously memorize the answer and end up not getting the concept. (I hate having a great memory for remembering unnecessary things 🙁 )

How should I plan my study to fully understand what Im learning? I use Roger Review course and Ninja MCQ but both explanations sometimes aren’t enough for me. Just FYi this is my retake study for FAR; i took it almost a year ago..

Everyone I know seem to just skimp over material and pass the exam. I am depressed that I cant do that eventhough I have more time to study..

Youtube Allan Mursau – he will walk you through all intermediate acctg topics with journal entries. Watch the dates though not sure he is keeping up with all the recent changes like leases and bond costs. I used him in school and he is great. It will be time better spent to get the basics down.
