I went through the Wiley study software (started studying right after my AUD test in mid July). Well I go to do Ninja problems and I’m not scoring well!

My test is rapidly approaching in 3 weeks (Aug 31st). I’m worrying I don’t have enough time!. I’m almost through all of the ninja MCQs, as far as seeing each problem once. I have Ninja Notes, the Ninja Book, the mcqs, and all Wiley materials.

I decided to read over the Ninja book and take more notes then come back to mcq when I’m more confident.

Any suggestions?! The questions are a lot harder than I thought they would be! I’m running out of time!

What's your life like? If you have time, you may as well, start listing in ridiculous detail your weak areas, perhaps look for insight from people here. Helps alot. Additionally, help those that have questions here. More you incorporate into everything, the better.

I wanna say Jeff said this, or maybe someone else – my brain's fried – but it's all short-term memory, or at least it seems that way. I've been giving myself a week or two to start and finish reading+prep, and I can't make any claims yet(except AUD 92 on 7/17), but the more you surround yourself with it, and the less you do “too early” helps. Depends on your schedule, I'm a bum so I had the privilege to pull like 5 all nighters a week for the past month.

Bout to take BEC as well tomorrow, wrapping up my third exam now in about 33 days; but seriously I started MCQ's yesterday, and I was freaking out. First 100 MCQ's I was so annoyed, thought I officially was burnt out. But I kept at it, an Im feeeling much better, 12 hours later, mentally..physically, I get a head rush from standing up…

I think that sounds about right. After I've been through the material the MCQ's kick my butt for around a week or two of diligently working them, then it's like it magically starts coming together. You do have to make sure you're treating each question like it's study material instead of the test though. Each question has at least 4 learning opportunities- why the correct was correct and why the 3 wrong answers were wrong.

You're not working the q's to see how you're going to score (yet), you're doing them to learn the material in a different format. Once you've been through a very significant number of them you can start looking at the trending score as a potential indicator of how you'll do, but early on you really should just ignore all the scores and focus on the material.

@silvercamero77 I have a similar situation, would you suggest custom questions, per section or keep doing the random sets.I agree with your comments. I kinda give up when I'm not scoring too good. I just want to get a good handle on what I am doing so I can at least feel good about the study, I know feeling good about the test is almost a no win.

Personally, I do a combination of both. At the very beginning of the MCQ's I do random sets of 5-10. After it seems like the trending scores have basically settled (i.e. not swinging wildly with every other set I do) I customize 5-10 Q sets to focus on one of my stronger areas at a time until they're each around 65% – 70% (which is backwards from Jeff's recommendation). That builds my confidence up some because I can get the trending up faster on areas I'm inherently a little better on.

Then I start focusing on my worst area. After every few sessions of it, I'll do 1 or 2 sessions of either random or customize it for an area I'm betting in to keep that material fresh in my mind (and because at this point there's still a lot of material for those that I haven't covered).

Once my worse areas are trending mid to upper 60's, I mostly do random sets and let the software choose, but I still customize some if I feel like I haven't seen enough in one area or if I'm sick of certain other areas.

Over the last week I've slacked a lot on my studying, so last night I needed to spend some time with the flashcards to help me get some of the formulas back (I'm on BEC right now).

Hopefully you'll find something helpful in my process.
