I’m a new hire and gonna start in January. I plan to take my last part in January. Is it okay to take an exam during busy season or I’m wondering do you need to work on Saturdays for the first two weeks of January? Since my other two scores gonna be expired in March… have to nail this one down in the first window…

I think it honestly depends on your client schedule and your firm. If you're scheduled those two weeks, maybe contact the senior on the job and ask him/her for an opinion. My firm gives us one day off for every exam section without using a vacation day, does your firm do anything similar?

    AUD 79 (7/14)
    FAR 78 (7/14)
    REG 78 (8/14)
    BEC 81 (10/14)

@czcz8821 I think you are fine. The first 2 weeks of January are usually really slow. I work at a top 10 accounting firm and everyone's schedules are pretty empty the first weeks of January. The 2nd half of January til March/April is going to be the busy time. If you need more time, I would recommend trying to find a prometric center that tests on Sunday. Good Luck!!!!!

I plan on taking an exam at the end of January. I think you'll be fine.

    FAR - 70, 81
    AUD - 83
    BEC - 77
    REG - 70, 78

    Licensed in Ohio.

Now what the hell do I do?

My firm would shove me out the door to go test. “New hire” hours are not that valuable…. work isn't that efficient yet anyway. CPA exams however, are very important.

    FAR: 55, 52, 66
    REG: 84*
    AUD: 54, 70, 73, 72, 79!!!
    BEC: 75*

    *expired

@krschneids Thanks for you advice! It's really good to take a day off! The day before exam really helps me a lot… I will ask them if they have this policy.

@anothercpa23 I'm considering taking on the first half of January… So you don't have to work on Sundays even in busy seasons or it really depends?
