Hhow broad is the term “consulting”? This was a breakdown of my job and I want to fill out the application in a way that is honest, but is going to get me certified . This is what my last job looked like:

A) 20% “Financial Planning and Analysis”: Working with financial models to forecast and budget our finances, engaging in variance explanation. I built/or assisted others in making a ton of P and L’s.

B) 30% “Invoice audits”, where I reviewed AR’s invoices and matched them against forecasts and contracts to see if there was a billing error. That meant looking at a lot of trial balance reports and suggesting edits to the general ledger department.

C) 50% “Internal consulting” – my job was to build financial models and reporting dashboards that would explain to executive and operations leaders things like where we should be allocating more labor, how we should renegotiate contracts, how much we should be paying people etc.

What do you guys think? will this qualify?

Get a CPA to sign off then file your paperwork. The process takes a while so get it done ASAP rather than worrying about it.

I recently passed in PA also… my boss and I spent a lot of time allocating.. I think they're more concerned with that you have the relevant experience and the quantity.. the breakdown is so arbitrary based on how you interpret each section.
But I agree with the above, get it in as soon as possible.. I submitted 11/25 as soon as I found out and am still (im)patiently waiting.

I'm also applying in PA but worried as I have only Industry Experience. I work as a Senior Accountant and my primary responsibilities include AP/AR Rec, Elimination Rec, Posting Accruals, Amortization, Reclass & Elimination JEs, Preparing Financials, Analyzing P&L & BS accounts, and reviewing Revenue and Expense Analysis work of another accountant. Is it possible if anyone can help me figure out if these can be good for license experience requirement and Should these go under Accounting section on Experience Verification Form? Should I allocate hours per each responsibility I mentioned above or total hours is good enough? Thank you!
