So I completed all the parts of the exam sent in my form 4b and my transcripts on Sept 10th but have heard nothing from New York State also I checked online at the Office of Professions database nothing been almost 2 months I was wondering is this the norm for how long it takes them to process a application has anyone in NYS also been waiting this long to get license or I am I just being impatient?

Mine took seven weeks. I bet you get it Monday keep checking on line license verification

Just an FYI – I have heard NY takes roughly 7-8 weeks but I called them yesterday (separate issue) and the lady said they have a 4 week delay due to Hurricane Sandy.

You should definitely call them up and find out, what the status is. When I called early last week they said they were a month behind opening mail. I called up yesterday again and my file was finally sent to the state board on the 15th to look at my experience and finally then getting my license. Does anyone know from their experience, what the time frame is from the board receiving your file to issuing your license?

I called and they said my application was sent to the board for review in Mid-October so I guess it takes them some time to review the lady on the phone told me they work backlogged really badly.

Just keep calling them every week. I did. Once I talked to someone at the Board, then a few days later I receieved my license #. My total application process took about 12 weeks.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

Mid-October and still nothing?? That's unbelievable. I'm mid-November sent to the board, and I keep checking every day online and nothing, at this rate who knows when I get the damn thing, probably next year. This is gone on way too long.

Jomarie – Is there a separate number to call for the board?? The only number I know is the license processing unit, but all they know is when the file was sent to the board.
