    NINJA Question –

It kind of scares me that I’ve been getting almost every MCQ for these two right, but been trending 60s % wise for the other three. Is that normal? Haven’t touched the SIMS yet.

Has this translated to the actual test for anyone?

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 76
    REG - 87

Correction: WAS trending in the 60s lol. I just finished up my materials last week, so still working on my (fairly) weak areas in Fin Statements, Spec. Transactions, and Governmental. I don't think Governmental will be a problem.

I wrote a long post, but then I deleted it.

Just remember that Gov't is 8%-12% of the exam and NFP is 8%-12% based on what the AICPA provides in the CSO's. So you may encounter an exam, in theory, where approximately a quarter of exam questions come from just these two sections.

Gov't and NFP aren't even really that hard. I would go so far as to say NFP is an easier section than governmental. There's really not a lot of critical thinking required with these sections from my experience.

People just fuss over it because they didn't dedicate enough time to learn the material and also because it's fun to complain. I love complaining.

@quittingcpa I swear it's therapeutic for people to complain lol! That's what I figured was up with NFP and Governmental. Last sections and low % so maybe people don't focus enough on it. I'm struggling with Fin. Accounts and Spec. Transactions! But I have about 20 days until my exam so I'll do a ton of questions

I thought NFP was pretty straight forward, while government took some time and effort to learn. Overall, it's not as bad as learning the effective interest method, pensions and deferred taxes.

I think people complain about it because both sections account for up to a quarter of the MC portion of the exam, but most people most likely will never see Gov't/NFP during their career thus having little to no real world application.
