I applies to the NYSED, they deposited my check over 10 days ago but haven’t heard anything from them yet. Am i supposed to send my transcripts? or wait for them to contact me?

I am in the same situation. I sent my paper work in almost two weeks ago and they cashed my check this week. I emailed NASBA about my transcripts and they told me they will send in the 150 hr education history. I have heard NY sends you a confirmation after the all documents are received. I'm assuming this includes all forms including your application, NASBA and employer form.

I'm not expecting approval for about 6 months or so.

@rachel. You won't get any confirmation from NYSED. Just to ask a simple question, you will get an automatic reply that it will take up to 3 wks for them to respond to yout inquiry.

Basically, you have to do the following:

1) Complete the application and send in the application fee (which you did)

2) Call NASBA NY Coordinator and confirm that he sent over your education history and the scores to NY State.

3) Contact Office of Professions (this is not NY State Board), who gathers all your application forms and documents, and ask them if they have received everything that would make your application “complete” and if it was sent to NY State Board

4) Contact NY State Board and confirm that they have everything for your application

When I last spoke to NY State Board (which was Monday), they indicated that they are currently reviewing September applications and it is currently taking 16-18 wks to complete their process. So hold on tight.
