Operating Profit Margin

    How come the depreciation expense is not deducted to calculate operating profit margin? Can anyone explain this to me? I would appreciate it. THanks!

    I'm totally new around here and the question that intrigued me on the AICPA 2016 released is the one above “How come the depreciation expense is not deducted to calculate operating profit margin? Can anyone explain this to me? I would appreciate it. THanks!”(posted by hmesalguero on 05.11.2013) it appears that AICPA favorites this one since it appears again in 2016.
    How can I find if anyone ever answered this question?
