I know each study material provider will be different but what scores were you getting on practice tests right before passing? This question is for all parts of the exam but I am interested in FAR the most since that is what I will be taking in a month. I am so nervous! 🙁

I was scoring around 80% on the practice tests. I failed far once though.

I put absolutely zero stock in practice exams. For audit I didn't even take them I just looked over the sims. When i took a far practice exam i didnt finish the whole thing but was getting in the 50-60% on the testlets. I ended up failing with a 72 but it was still way off from the practice test.

People get so hung up on how they are doing with the questions and stuff. Just study the material and study why the answers to the questions are right and wrong and you will do fine.

I took bunch of practice exams and simulated exams before my Audit exam yesterday. I was doing well on all the practice exams, but real exam was brutal. I don't know if there's any connection between two, but it def helps to do bunch of practice tests to see where you are doing well and where you aren't.

    Good Luck!

I typically hate to do the Final Exams in Becker. They are extremely hard and are a huge confidence killer for me. Although, I still do them and then battle with myself.

My scores on the real exam haven't always coincided with my scores in practice. But that is just me…..

I liked doing the Becker end of chapter quizzes. I was getting 80-90% on them right before test time.

    Bec 4/11/11 91
    Aud 7/11/11 75
    Reg 8/31/11 80
    Far 5/24/11 86

It depends on what study materials you're using, too. I use CPAexcel and their practice exams are a little on the easy side. They recommend that you score 90% or better. For BEC, I scored 90+ on my practice exam. For FAR, I got somewhere in the 70s or 80s on the practice test but then did a lot more studying. For me, it's really just a quick gauge of what my next study tactic will be rather than an indication of my performance on exam day.

    AUD: 92 (10/2011)
    BEC: 82 (7/2011)
    FAR: 55 (8/2010); 88 (8/2011)
    REG: 62 (8/2009); 87 (1/7/12)
    DONE!

When I took FAR, I got a 74 on the first Becker final exam, and an 82 on the second Becker final exam. I thought they were a good representation of the actual exam, perhaps even a little harder. Best of luck to you.

I took a full practice test (Wiley testbank) the morning of my BEC exam. I scored a 79% on the practice exam and an 81 on the real deal.

Still, I wouldn't put too much stock in the score. My motivation for taking a full length practice exam: time management/exam strategy trial run

    Good luck with FAR!

I scored a 66 or lower on both of Becker Final exam for FAR. Even if I would have scored a 82 it still would have not helped because my exam was wwwaayyy different then anything I was studying. Little to no calculations etc. In willey I was about an 85. After my first exam I stop putting so much stock in the exam score. The goal is KNOW why the questions are right and wrong. That is what I did for REG. Don't know if it paid off though 🙁

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

I used Becker and took my FAR today.

I was scoring 70-80 but not in all areas. I didnt even bother to redo the ones I missed first time. When I was doing I was scoring only 50% in them.

I studied the content again and again last two weeks. Only reading the material completely twice and then only final skim through.

I finished my MCs in 2.5 hours. What I found was the ones I missed in the practice session are like the ones they have a twist in them. If you are doing them correct then I would say you are really good. However what I observed was a very few on the exam were twisted but mostly were straight forward.

Anyway to cut short I am expecting another 90+ but let us see. So FAR is all not that bad. Just read all the pages including ancillary material in Becker. There were MCs on a small line somewhere in ancillary material.

So don't worry too much at your score with practice content. Just read read read…

BTW I did not even bother to take the second sample test and first one I only did MCs and scored 70% one week before the exam.

Again it is not what you are getting right. It is relative to others how well you do on the exam in the test window.

    REG - 07/01/2011 - 93
    AUD - 08/25/2011 - 95
    FAR - 10/29/2011 - 94
    BEC - 11/28/2011 - 90
