With FAR on friday and not feel prepared at all. I am curious to hear what percentage of luck is in these exams. It is my last section I need and I believe the exam is 70% what you and 30% pure luck on the kind of questions you get. I didnt want to reschedule and miss a testing windown because there is still a chance I may pass. Curious to see how much luck goes into these exams.

    REG - 63,74,70,81!!!
    FAR - 44,73, 81!!!!
    AUD - 51,81!
    BEC - 73,77!!

3 years later and I'm officially done. Never give up no matter what!

There is certainly luck involved with the type of questions you get, especially the simulations. I would say for the most part the MCQs are what they are, but getting easy simulations could be the difference between an 80 or a 65.

How did you get a 37 the first time? Did you study everything? Just wondering.

    BEC - 81 4/08/14

    REG - 69 (Nov 14),80 1/08/15 Thank God!
    AUD - 70 (May 14), xx 5/1/15

I did not feel adequately prepared for either FAR or REG, and figured I had failed both. By some miracle managed to pass…so I'd say just go for it.

To be honest, you seem pretty ready to me. You are on top of most of the topics discussed in the other thread. Hope you get easy simulations and you will probably be guaranteed to pass.

@Kricket – Never thought I'd see a Mike Shinoda reference on a CPA exam forum…that's for sure

@jstay – If you walk in there thinking you are going to fail, then you will probably do just that. You need to walk in there confident that you have done everything you could and you know your $hit! You know more than you think!

@thechapman – Love me some Fort Minor!

@DOSMO – My fight song was “25 to Life” by Eminem. It became my anthem before I got off the slow train ride through hell.

loved the Mike Shonda reference. the 37 was a complete bomb. That was 2 years ago when I thought I could pass all 4 parts in six month HA HA HA. So i basically ran out of time in studying and then that was the week Sandy hit so i was litereally studying by candle light and just a bad bad time.

    REG - 63,74,70,81!!!
    FAR - 44,73, 81!!!!
    AUD - 51,81!
    BEC - 73,77!!

I was going to say 75 skill and 25 luck… Especially if you are just on the edge, like anywhere in the 70's. If you score 99, well that is probably 95% skill… Because that is amazing!

I've gone into all of my exams just hoping I'll pass and knowing it could go either way. I never consistently score 90+ on my MCQ's when I review. The exam I felt the absolute worst about was my best score. Go figure! Good guesses?

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
