I took FAR (my first exam) 3 days ago. Just like many of you I felt good going in, but felt horrible coming out of it. I don’t feel awesome about the MC questions, I feel just ok. The TBS were pretty hard and I did not do so well on at least three of them. I have no hopes of passing, but reading thru the previous posts gives me at least the comfort that I’m not alone in this.

I used Becker to study the material, and feel disappointed. I thought that I was very prepared, but the exam had lots of questions that I’ve never seen Becker talking about. I feel that I worked tons of problems, and the exam had some that were totally off from what I’ve studied. Do some of you feel the same? I used Becker just because the firm I’ll be working for paid for it, but the program didn’t have great reviews. If I don’t pass FAR, I would like to try something different next time. Can you guys suggest some other options?

I've passed 3 sections so far using nothing but Ninja Notes, MCQ and Audio. I can't speak for other products, but Ninja has worked incredibly well for me.

AUD - 91
BEC - 85
FAR - 91
REG - 92

CPA, CFE
Passed all 4 CPA exam sections with Ninja Notes/MCQ/Audio

Licensed CPA
Passed each section on the first try with Ninja Notes/MCQ/Audio

I also used Becker because my firm covered the cost. It did not adequately prepare me for the exam. I switched to NINJA this year and am preparing to sit for AUD. I already feel much more prepared than in any of my previous 6 exams.

I recommend giving NINJA MCQs a try before you commit to the full course. Most pass with only adding the MCQs to their existing study program.
