I’m just checking in since I’ve been away for too long. I see that some of my old pals are still here! How’s everyone doing? For those who’ve passed, what have y’all been up to? For those still trucking along, how’s are things going?

Since I quit my job I’ve been busy doing course development work, teaching, writing, bookkeeping, and whatever else I can round up to pay the bills. I’m not making the money I was before (yet), but I’m a gazillion times happier and more at peace now that I’m out of the rat race. Plus, I refinanced my house and car and reduced my student loan payments. And I know longer pay much for gas or wear and tear on my car. These things help.

I miss you guys, and I hope you are well!

This is so weird because I was wondering about you yesterday! I was reading some old posts and I saw one of yours and thought “Yeah, T-Rex got his license and forgot all about us lowly candidates!” It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry that you lost your last exam battle, but the war's not over. You'll get it next time! Play that “Eye of the Tiger” video to get yourself pumped up! It works. I used to listen to that song in between MC sessions. Or if you're angry and just want to let it out, Eminem is a good choice.

How are you doing? Have you fully recovered from your vasectomy? I sure hope so. 😉 Heck, having a vasectomy can't be as bad as studying for the CPA exam. I think I'd rather have 10 vasectomies than study for that sucker ever again, and I'm not even a guy.

I am doing great! Thank you for asking. Unfortunately, though, I still haven't found that sexy paleontologist. I'm sure he'll be here any day now. You know, I have a fascination with severe weather too, so perhaps a storm chaser would work out alright. Heck, I even own the DVD set of The Weather Channel's “Storm Stories.” Speaking of severe weather, we're getting our share of it tonight here in TX.
