    Hi everyone,

I’m planning on re-taking the Far exam (first time sitting in Jan) after the Reg exam which I have on April 9th, I want to re-take the FAR sometime in early-mid May. Any advice on how many hours I should dedicate to re-studying for this section. I studied previously for two months and I got a 55. My new strategy is to take as many practice sessions on MC as possible along with Sims rather than just practice tests over and over again. I bought the cram course from Roger but I just wanted some ideas on how much time to spend studying for this exam, its a re-take but its not like I was off by a few points it was a lot. Should I approach it as if I’m studying from scratch all over again (re-watch all the videos? Or just re-watch the ones I’m not weak in). I feel so disheartened since I practically gave up the holiday season to study all for a crummy 55 !!

I would study like you are studying from scratch since the score wasn't close to passing. That being said, I'm taking FAR in April and I don't plan on watching the lectures. They just don't seem to help me very much. I am reading the entire Wiley book, working every MCQ and SIM in the book, taking notes and incorporating those notes into the Ninja Notes, listening to the Ninja Audio and looking at the flashcards as much as possible, doing every MCW and SIM in the Wiley test bank and rewriting my notes at least once before the exam. Good luck. Don't give up! You can do it!

Even if your score had been A 74, my advice would be the same-study from scratch. Between 150-200 hours. Knock out as many MCQ as possible, I did no less than 50 per day, usually closer to 100 per day. If you dont have the ninja notes get them too!

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I would deff recommend restudying it all again especially if you have another section in between. I would do it the NINJA way. Definately helped me keep things in FAR fresh which is hard to do with all the material.

So to my understanding there are Ninja notes and audio. I already have a full on review course with notes and even purchased a cram course. Do you all recommend the Ninja audio or notes more ? I don't think I could afford both…

I think you should just focus on what you have for now otherwise you will be worrying about getting through all of the review material rather than understanding it. I have a full course, then many supplemental things I have found online and it was a little stressful because I wanted to look over every single thing and it was a ton of information.

EDIT: Actually, the audio might benefit you if you are at the gym, driving, etc.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83
