    @bakedcpa

    Thanks! I will continue to bang out as many mcqs. I have yet to take the practice exam.. Hahah. I thought a 71 on the simulated exam was terrible. I'm glad it isn't….REG is a beast. I hope we all pass it! Btw. Are the simulations similar to audit (drop box option). Or do we type in a number?

    Allyson,

    At first I was laughing when I read your post because I wasn't expecting that…..but then after a few minutes to sink in, I totally understand your feeling. I will be there in a week. I get those emails too. I also get a phone call from Prometric on my cell. Super nice guy named Terry…..my usual reply: “Terry, how could I forget?!!” I love the people there, they are soooo nice.

    I fully expect you to walk in there on Tuesday and make REG your biatch!!! It is payback for the giant dead rat, the hawaiian punch spilled in the car, the missed invites….need I go on?

    @Peanut,

    Now, take a deep breath. You are ready. You know it. Believe that. Walk into the exam with confidence. That is half the battle. 🙂

    @CPAer and Baked,

    Best of luck to the both of you guys…you have been methodical in your studying, you got this!!! Have faith, I do really believe that mindset is so important with these exams, but more so with REG. The sims can really take you out of the exam–DON”T let it. You got it. GL

    Can someone please help me with one of the Becker simulations for REG. For the “Regulation 4 – Partnership” simulation, for question 2, how are they getting $168,000 for net income? Isn't it supposed to be $130,700? Also, for line 13d, shouldn't it be $10,000 instead of $16,000?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    @momo5- I was confused about the same thing but they're getting the net income of $168,000 from Question 1, (line 22 of the form 1065) *not* the $130,700 net income listed in the information tab. Im not sure but i believe the net income shown on the information tab is book net income not taxable net income.

    For 13d both the health insurance premiums ($10k) and the keogh plan contributions ($6k) are considered “other deductions”. Sorry I can't give a more detailed reason why they lump those together but If you only put $10,000 you're leaving out the keogh.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks CPA Man Jr. Appreciate the help. So basically everything is divided in half to get to the partners' share of current year income.

    Also, any advice from those of you who have already taken this exam? I take it next Monday (8/29) so would appreciate any and hall help and suggestionson how to take the exam. Are the SIMs particularly hard?

    Thanks.

    Just finished REG test today. Feel I need memorize every detail in every page of Wiley book. 1st testlet middle tough, 2nd testlet totally hard since a lot of detail I only based on the guess. 3rd testlet the content has been covered by Yaeger.One funny thing happened was that I thought the arrangement of problems follows the Wiely Test bank 30+30+12, however, it is 24+24+24, I only spent 20 minutes finishing the last part. Gee….Simulation, it is hard in the glimpse, while read the problem carefully,most of them already been covered by Yaeger, only if i didnt master the concept very well. Even for the second simulation which I never seen before, I almost given up. But when I reread the problem, it is unexpectedly straightforward.

    Understand all key concepts Yaeger emphasized. HW is really helpful. But I would suggest you to finish all Wiley test bank MCs and Simulations.I hope I could pass….God bless me.
