Just did the AICPA practice test MCQs. Sounds like those are not reflective of what some people had on their exam b/c the practice exam MCQs weren't to difficult.

For anyone who took it and used Becker, was Becker's MCQ's/Simulations a good feel for the exam?

Just finished REG retake. It started out ok but quickly went downhill when the SIMs came along. Felt like a lot of the questions in SIMs were not/ very little coverage in the study materials. Good luck to everyone! I always feel like an idiot after these exams.

Dang you guys – making me nervous! I sit in about a week or so and I actually feel pretty good about the material. Was it really that bad? I imagine a lot of people trying to sit towards the end of this window given the quick score release.

I was thinking the same thing! I sit on Monday and some of these posts have me second guessing myself even though I feel pretty prepared. Just keeping my fingers crossed I get manageable sims

I just took it yesterday. Who knows lol.

I felt like the MCQ were pretty easy. The SIMS were crazy tho. This seems like the opposite of everyone's experience lol.

My sims were so unexpected and hard. Was it like this for anyone else? (edited)

In conclusion, I felt like MCQ were pretty easy. The SIMS were crazy tho (I don't know how SIMS are graded tho. I've heard there is partial credit, but these are like right-wrong answers with no work shown, so I don't know how you would do partial credit).

    Hopefully I passed.

@Pnbrock11 if there are multiple blanks on a Sim, except the research sim, each blank is graded separately. That's the partial credit

@jsdailey I always assumed the research sim was just another blank. Meaning that if you add up all blanks in the SIMS, they were all worth the same weight. Is this wrong?

I've heard numerous times the research sim is all or nothing. My understanding is that the questions and individual blanks are all weighted differently based off of difficulty, as are the MCQs. When your exam is scored, they count every box you/ question you get right based off of the assigned weights. That sum is your score.

You guys are scaring me. I take REG July 6th. I only have two chapters of Becker left but some of the material is not sticking as well as I would like it to.

I think most of us not in a tax background are at least concerned. My goal is to get through the MCQs at 1 minute per pace. leaving me 2:45 to do the sims and reference the AL when needed.

What are revenue rulings? I don't remember seeing that anywhere in the Roger material.
