Just finished my practice exam with Gleim. Scored 84.72 on MCQ and 54.07 on SIMS, thus bringing my weighted average to 72.46. I give the real exam on 25 November, feeling pretty down 🙁

Can you guys share your experience – practice exam v/s the real stuff?

    FAR - 80 (Roger + Wiley TB) May 2014
    AUD - 82 (Roger + Gleim TB + Wiley TB) August 2014
    REG - 79 (Gleim + Gleim TB) November 2014
    BEC - 85 (Gleim + Gleim TB) January 2015

My NINJA trending score was in the low to mid 60s, and I walked out of the exam with a 75. Looks like you have a pretty good handle on the MCQ side of things…why not spend a couple hours on practice simulations?

AUD // F x2 P 92- (Test server crashed! It really does happen!)
    REG // F, F, F, P - 75 Aug 2014
    BEC // P - 80
FAR // F, F...now its time for my greatest trick yet.
    Ethics // Very.

    75 to stay alive

There are a few threads with practice versus real comparison for Becker, Ninja, and Wiley. I don't remember one for Gleim. I think the general experience is that the review practice exam is harder than the real thing, with the exception of the SIMS. Don't let the practice exam get you down. There are many that won't take a practice exam because they don't want it to mess with their confidence. Just review your practice results and focus on your weak areas. You can do it!

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

Sounds like you're in good shape. The SIMs in REG have a reputation for being brutal — when I took the exam, I didn't feel more than 60-70% confident on a single one of mine — but it's pretty common for people to get solid scores regardless. Utilize the tax code in the actual exam if you have the extra time.

Honestly, just stay calm and do your best to keep your focus when you do for it real. I imagine everyone gets flustered a little bit when they're going through the simulations, but it's important that you don't let that paralyze you.
