I'm hoping to take it at the end of May but it's hard to commit knowing that I'm going on my first solo international trip for twelve days in late April! I just bought NINJA MCQs for REG, so I'm making a goal to do 50 per day.

I have my REG exam on April 3rd and I have not even completed half of my material. Would really appreciate if you could tell me which topics to focus more on. I will try to touch all topics but where should I spend more time on ?
Please provide some guidance & tips. Really need that.

I'm doing anywhere from 120-150 a day just to give you an idea. I bet if you can get to upwards of that many per day you could knock out the exam before your April trip.
That's in my opinion of course!

March 18, 2016 at 4:52 pm #767048ChristieFParticipantHi @mouzam, I'd definitely get NINJA MCQ if you don't have it… and I'd focus on taxation, but definitely make sure you get a handle on everything. I'm studying for my exam on 4/11 and while I'm great at Business Law, there's still things in there I need a refresher on, but the NINJA MCQ is awesome for that.

March 18, 2016 at 4:58 pm #767049garciarbParticipant@ andyred04 – I am not restricted as I'm currently in private industry, but I just got out of a long term relationship and I'm playing the field a bit (which I'm learning is very expensive!). I'll likely end up doing more but I wanted to establish a minimum for me to meet for a tentative testing date of May 29. I may end up just going with it and attempting to test by the third week of April, but I am not familiar at all with this material and it's a little intimidating.

March 18, 2016 at 6:32 pm #767053ChristieFParticipantHa! @andyred04, I just had one similar and thought the same thing. After studying/working MCQs for my lunch hour I told my dad I needed to go get Starbucks because my brain looks like a fried egg right about now. That's how it feels anyway. These MCQs defeated me this last hour.

March 18, 2016 at 8:34 pm #767054Mouzam AliParticipant@garciarb @Andyred04 @FrostyCPA Hi guys thanks for your comments. I have Roger review + Wiley test bank and that's the reason I didn't subscribe for Ninja MCQs. I am getting stressed out thinking about how much less time I got with sooooo much to study.
Any more tips for REG exam ? anything different that I need to do for TBS ? I remember in AUD exam there is no way you can prepare well for TBS since it asks questions out of the blue. Should I expect same for REG ?
Anyone who recently attempted REG in 2016 Q1 or 2015 Q4 please share your experience and thoughts about MCQs & TBS.

(I have the NINJA MCQs) and some are research based finding where the rule is, but then all the rest so far have been filling out and calculating actual tax forms, or just sections of tax forms based on information provided, so definitely know how to do that. I am not sure what Wiley has for Sims, but definitely go through them, if nothing else; it's good practice. I didn't realize how much time I'd spent on Business Law, etc. so am trying to go through all the tax information and sections now, so I understand the stressing out part. Just take one day at a time and get as much as you can done. You'll get through it!

I tried this a year ago, when my husband was still in school and failed the 3 I took because I had the kids while he studied so I couldn't study.. so I took a break until he finished and now it's my turn. Good thing is… it can be done! Just take a deep breath, you have your wedding to look forward to in July, you'll be ok. You have realistically enough time to take the last 3. Are you planning to take another exam in May?
