I am so frustrated. It seems the more I study the worse I do on progress test. I just got a 54 on a progress test over the first four sections. So ready to throw the book across the room and watch TV the rest of the weekend. My Reg test is 8/29/2014 and I just don’t know what to do to remember. I have recently started (3 days ago) re writing Ninja Notes and so far it has not helped me. Uggh I just don’t know what to do. I cant reschedule my exam because my NTS expires the end of this month.

I feel the exact same way about regulation. Let's just give up and become truck drivers or something. You quit first and then I'll follow.

I'm gonna quit and open a bar! Who's with me??

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?

I'm studying for REG using Wiley. They really go into an INSANE amount of detail. I really hope the actual exam is nothing like this…

Reg is a test of your will and determination. The volume of material is huge. Remembering every thing is impossible. Yet you will pass it if you don't give up and keep reviewing the material. Take the negative out of your head and keep doing it.

Good news is, the exam actually is not that hard, that is how I felt . I gained about 8 lbs in the last one month of Reg study.

Reg and Far are the Monsters, Reg being worse cause of all the taxation rules.

Just do your best to review.

    FAR - 81 29th Aug 2013
    AUD - 84
    REG - 82
    BEC - 89 29th Aug 2014

LOL, h0wdyus, you are not alone! I feel like this past week I've been non-stop munching while trying to cram. Cannot wait for the time I can exercise and not feel guilty about not studying!

Unfortunately, due to various unexpected things that life smacked me with, I have had only the last week before I take the exam (on the 19th – yikes) to cover all 4 finals chapters of Becker (yes, half the book loll). I'm taking a quick breather break before I try to finish up at least R7 questions tonight, then will do R8 and “begin” reviewing tomorrow.

So don't worry OP and the rest of you – I'll be sure to pull that curve down a bit! 😉 *half-sob* haha

print out becker outline from each chapter. its gives broad overview of important topics. I think it sums it up pretty nicely, then go back to sections that u dont understand and keep doing progressive tests. Also, how many questions are u doing from progressive tests? do u set it to 24-30 like the actual exam or whatever the software gives u?

Reg is a pain. I know I am spending to much time with Tim and Peter, because I am beginning to laugh at their jokes. There so much memorization, and exception to everything, phase out, and a specific number of days related to each topic in BLAW. And @DisneyDebits will score insanely high.

    FAR - 93 - 7/1/14
    AUD - 94 - 7/25/14
    REG - 92 - 8/30/14
    BEC - 89 - 10/6/14

REG was a bitch……I suggest you work real forms from the IRS just so you can get a feel for how everything fits together.

    We should buy a bar?

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - 86
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
    AUD - 71, 73

    BEC - 74, 86

    REG - 77*

    FAR - 57

    *expired

(I have been trying to become a CPA since 2013). only one test down.......

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

Reg is not bad at all! I flunked my college tax classes with C- and did absolutely terrible. Took this Reg exam TWICE and I'm telling you by my standards I absolutey dominated it especially the second time. I just fell short on the Sims. The SIMS are EXTREMELY important. You must leave at least one and half hour to complete those. The MCQs will be a breeze if you study all topics thoroughly. Like you must fully know the treatment of all forms of income/gain and expense/loss for every type of entity. The rest of the parts should come to you naturally as CPA candidates…ethics, code of conduct, accountant liability..these should be no problem for you! Next time I take that exam I plan on destroying it with 80+ score.

    BEC: 66, 74, 80* (Expired), 73, 76*
    FAR: 66, 72, 67, TBA
    REG: 68, 72, 74, 70, 79*
    AUD: 43, 71, 77* (Expired), 71, TBA

@Jsmith and How many letters do you need..After careful consideration I have decided no to pursue the bar.LOL Maybe once we pass the CPA we can afford to open on :o) @ Young d8 I just do as many questions that the software gives me. Lets hang in there everyone and thank for the encouragement all :O)
